Sunday the 27th
All is going well om Stauffer Avenue.
Dennis has been home a full day. He did have a family function to attend for several hours last night. He put on clean PJs and went to bed shortly thereafter.
I had the house locked up, lights off and we had callers at the back door. Four of Dennis’ family were bound and determined for a visit. Yup, they were pretty well lit. They’re not my family, so I unlocked the door and they went about visiting Dennis in his bedroom. So it goes.
Dennis got up during the night for the bathroom and went back to bed and slept until ten this morning. He said it felt great to stretch and move around under the covers.
this afternoon my cousin Mark stopped in. He had been at a funeral in Jackson. Mark was originally from the Jackson area and now lives close to Hastings. Mark works for the Thompson Reuter printing company. Until recently he worked on the floor as one of the pressmen. He applied and got the job in the mechanics department. He said it was more satisfying after putting in a day.
Dennis is sitting on the front deck taking in some sunshine.
Yesterday I ordered a shower chair from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. It is height adjustable and the seat swivels. It seemed like the best solution rather than a straight bench.
Thank goodness, supper will be the remains of the tuna oven dish. A side salad to go with it will fill the menu. It went over well last night.
Occupational therapy is alive and well on Stauffer Avenue. Yesterday Dennis opened the can of the Albacore tuna. Today he switched out the laundry from the washing machine to the dryer.
A quiet Monday is on the docket. May your Monday bring with it something to smile about.
With that I will take my leave. ♥
