Small Town Shopping

Colorful Scraps3 (Small)

My contribution to “Small Town Shopping” was to drive to Sherburn to the Old Alley Quilt Shop. This king sized scrappy quilt top needed to have backing material bought as well as batting. When Aunt Lorraine was here in June, the quest was for us to use this particular stash of bight fabrics. I have a hard time with something this large under my sewing machine. Plus . . . I have a free long arm quilting session with a value of $75.00 to use. I believe Sharon quoted that the long arm quilting would be $98.00 plus the cost of the backing and batting. She charges $.01 per square inch. All in all it will be a good value to have a quilt ready for someone. While there I picked up some stabilizer to have on hand. Yes! I participated in the shopping in small towns.
