I need to make a note for myself for the next time I go into the eye doctor’s office. What really are my choices for the lens materials that is available for glasses?
Not so long ago, I could run water over my glasses, use a clean white lint free dish towel and I would be good to go for the day. The composite of these is: smear, smear – and more smear. I realize lens material is no longer glass as they are no longer so heavy that they always sit on the end of one’s nose. I believe these have something to do with glare. Okay, I could understand being in my sewing studio under many fluorescent lights . . . the glare thing. There is a little towelette given to you when you pick up a new pair of glasses and they will also sell you a spray bottle to be used for cleaning. Either are not very effective.
I just want to be able to see past the smears or in between the smears. I spend more time each morning cleaning my glasses than I do when brushing my two pair of teeth. UGH!
