A Thanksgiving Quite Different from Others

There may have been many cancelations for large gatherings, we all do what we feel is right.  What I feel is warmth in my heart for the fact that I have a family to think of when we can’t be together . . . that actually may be on a daily basis.  I could become as close to family members as a tick on a dog.  My mom, Lena, had mentioned several times, “I don’t want to miss out of anything.”

We raise our families to stretch themselves, to find themselves and to learn the ropes and the hoops.  Do there have to be so many ropes and hoops?  It is difficult for me to adapt to the speed of our days, our months and our years.  I want to hang on like flannel fuzz to a new wool coat.

I have had a wonderful Thanksgiving, as difficult and different that it may have been.  I had the best part that there was to be had.

On to the rest of the month.  Stay safe and happy.
