A Great Assistant
Today, Dennis was a great assistant. An avid reader sent me an email as to a recipe for help with the chigger bites and the itches that can continue far after the crime has occurred. I was on it like a tick on a dog . . . or a chigger mite on a leg. Dennis realizes how severe the situation has been with the bites that won’t quit itching.
After the first soaking of vinegar and Epsom salts, Dennis realized that I would benefit from a deeper container to allow more of the feet and legs to be submersed. That improved soaking will be done this evening as we have now incorporated Lena’s favorite pail that has been around for a long time.
In between time and in the mean time, Dennis was on a mission to get a supper dish ready. What a fellow. We will be enjoying one of his famous chicken pasta hotdishes. All he needed from me was a few reminders and he was in it to win it. His favorite toppers for the dish is a layer of freshly ground black pepper. Ya, we do go through a lot of ground pepper. Pepper is so much better for us than salt.
I know this too shall pass . . . I would like it to be sooner than later, but I will be patient. That in itself is a high hurdle for me. Dennis not only assists in the prep of suppers and supplies, he is great for moral support.
