A Family Gathering
Several of Martha Riebe’s Grandchildren
Today, at Cactus Jack’s in Stewart, Minnesota, some members of my Grandmother Martha Boelter Riebe’s family gathered. My mother, Lena Riebe Wendlandt, was the third oldest of eight children. All of Martha’s eight children are deceased. It was a grand time of chatting over lunch, catching up with everyone. This photo is of my first cousins that were able to attend. These individuals represented children of five of Martha’s children.
In the photo, left to right: Dorthy, daughter of Gertie; Vernie, son of Wilfred; Elvera and Noreen, daughters of Lena; Irene, daughter of Gilbert; Janet, daughter of Norman; and Roy, son of Gertie. Many siblings of those pictured were unable to attend. Martha had a total of 27 grandchildren.
