By golly there are signs of spring and it is not the temps. Dennis has been working daily on getting his garage porch back to his usual domain. It may be 12′ x 16′ (small for some domains) but to him it is a huge part of his day to day life. The two weeks that it was underwater and then progressed to being very soggy were not his cup of coffee. All of the items were moved into the pickup garage and the pickup sat in the driveway. That right there moved right into the next item that caused panic. Honey Bunny, the garage kitty that Dennis has as his confidant, could not use the pickup hood as a launching point to reach the rafters where her box with polar fleece awaited her every evening. Next best item was that Dennis left the Lincoln windows open so she would have a port in the storm. Now the porch is dry and Dennis has his pickup back with a contented kitty that rests on her polar fleece blankets. Can I use my car? No. As Honey Bunny would continue seeking higher ground she not only slept on the floor of the front seat of the car she used the car to check out the rafters above the car. Damp kitty feet combined with her litter box clay gives the car a look as if it has been stenciled from hood to the top and she surely didn’t let the trunk escape the artwork. This is a true indication as people age they become quite mellow. As soon as the temps get a bit warmer Dennis has assured me the car is the next cleanup on his list. Bless his softy ole cowboy heart.
